Please send all inquiries to farmersmarketsinnevada@yahoo.com. We will forward your email to the appropriate market managers. We're looking for a few good volunteers and greeters. Most of the work is done for you - all you have to do is support and promote the market. At this time we do not plan to have a market in Fernley due to lack of support by the community. But - here is the best news - we started a new non-profit farmers market group to assist with insurance needs. As you know - insurance is one of the most expensive parts of running any farmers market. You can find our group listed with the Nevada Secretary of State - just search business search for FARMERS MARKETS IN NEVADA. Our plan is simple and it works! If you would like more information - contact the 2010-2011 president, Sandra Kuhn at 775-253-4966. Silver Springs Farmers Market - Our target date for our new market is Saturday, June 12, 2010 at Tuff Luck Ranch & Feed in Silver Springs, NV - We have great Highway 50 exposure! At this time - this market is only open to farmers, small farms, community gardens, and square foot gardeners + ranchers - and we don't care if you are a Nevada farmer or a California farmer. Sorry - no crafters will be allowed at this particular market at this time, however, this criteria is subject to change. The fee for this market is $12.00 per booth space (10 X 10 space) - $2.00 of every booth space benefits the local latch key group in Silver Springs. No checks or credit cards will be allowed. To rent space contact Sandra Kuhn, our 2010-2011 president at (775) 253-4966. Sandra is one of our board of directors and will represent the Silver Springs area. Yerington Farmers Market Coming Soon! Startingon June 12, 2010 and the 2nd Saturday of each month there will be a New Farmers Market in Yerington! For more information please contact Market Manager, Elizabeth Summerville at (775) 463-5383. This market will include farmers AND crafters! Fees have not been established at this new market yet.
